The stigma around mental health almost always comes from lack of understanding which can cause people to avoid getting the help they need because of fear of being stigmatised.

While stigma continues to exist, we all have a role to play in cultivating a mentally healthy community, one that is inclusive, rejects discrimination and makes it easier to acquire help by educating ourselves.
Many tend to confuse empathy with sympathy, the former playing a big role in being compassionate to not only yourself but toward others around you!

Practicing self-compassion can often times not only help in processing events with openness and clarity, but also help promote a growth mindset to overcome challenges and bolster well-being!

Is being more self-compassionate one of your intentions for 2023?

Sometimes all we need is someone to truly listen and understand us. That’s the beauty of a great therapist; they offer a non judgemental ear and empathetic heart to guide us towards healing.

Remember, therapy is a journey, and it’s important to have someone in your corner who can help guide you along the way.

hings that are okay:

Putting yourself first ✅
Saying No ✅
Doing things at your own pace ✅
Taking a break when you need it ✅
Compromising your mental and physical well-being 🚫

Saying no is showing up for yourself and that's okay!

As we observe the holy month of fasting, may we use this time to nurture ourselves spiritually. Let us strive to be a source of comfort and support for those in need, and may this month bring peace and serenity to our soul. 🌙
